Nintendo got it right
We are living on a Grand Prix
We ride around thinking we’re Mario
Navigating our way through our own
Idea of Rainbow Road
Tipping our hat off to others that we view as Luigi
But end up being Wario or Waluigi
We can’t accept help sometimes and it forces us to our shells, bananas anything that we have at our disposal
And we sabotage ourselves along the way
All so we can feel the joy of winning what deem as a trophy
That’s when people fail to realize
It’s not just one race it’s many
And we separate the strong from the weak
The bowsers from the yoshi
The Peach from the Daisy
Whose ready player one
And not a player two wannabe
Thank you countless nights of gaming
I’ve prepared for this
