The Tiberian Ale

The emperor, satisfied with his bloodlust,
Ordered a fresh batch of pale ale from barbarian lands
Zero tolerance for other effete, patrician brands.

Millenia across the interstellar curve,
His namesake, also heralded for the breadfruit explorer of Thule Ultima,
Held a cold one, same brand, in his hands.
