100-word Film Review: The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue

Falling between the original 1987 classic and the final installment of the blockbuster trilogy (The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars), this direct-to-video sequel is the apogee not only of the franchise, but of the entire animated talking appliance genre.
For goodness’ sake, the vacuum was voiced by legend Thurl Ravenscroft. (Who you think you don’t know, but whose basso profundo you’ve definitely growled along to: “You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch…”)
Nevermind that without trailblazers like Toaster and Radio and Lampy, there never even would’ve been a Pixar.
Believe me, this is the Disney+ content you’ve been waiting for.

Jenna B. Morgan is very busy writing and teaching and raising two tiny feminists just outside Nashville, Tennessee. Wine helps. Find her on Twitter and Instagram @byjennabmorgan.
