2 Terror Poems By Anthony Salandy

Hidden
Cracked walls
Let feral light in as dancing dust
Gave animation to confinement ceasless,
But barking dogs became the only lullaby
During long nights where day break
Brought silent promise of open eyes
That wander behind walled facades
Until darting eyes grew restless
And guards gave momentary reprieve
And isolation becomes extended to a reality diabolical.

Watchful Eyes
Fanciful hands did adorn warped walls
Depressed, and dampened
By fresh sacrifice
Where wails were diminished
As unholy carnage
Overtook the humanity
That once existed
Beyond rouge sheets
And sulfuric baths
Deemed cleansing
And absolving of all sin,
But wondering eyes still looked on
As debauchery drove the desecration
Of a man whose carnal sin
Forced upon him a salvation
Where bones were dissolved
And only gouged eyes rendered mischievous,
And deserving of wrath, remained.
