We laid our child
resistant bait stations
which Combat claimed
would kill non-stop
down in the kitchen
& bathroom, swore
the pandemic caused
our roach influx, cursed
the exterminator, mask
under his chin, our snap,
bilateral decision
to slam the door on him.
