Keanu Leaves
I named the dracaena dorado,

A small tree-like plant I had discarded
in the back corner of our dining room;

In favor for the lush backyard garden
smitten with heirlooms and butternut squash.

Long spindly leaves stained brown
sulking in dried dirt in a black rimmed pot.

What’s in a name?
Check back with me in a few weeks.
