Award-Winning Poem

This poem has not won
any major awards
but a minor one
maybe might suffice
to revive what still remains
of its self-esteem

Matthew King used to teach philosophy at York University in Toronto; he now walks a rope bridge between the neighbouring mountaintops of philosophy and poetry in “the country north of Belleville”. At time of writing, the beer he had most recently drunk was Kilkenny, which is arguably his favourite beer.
