Ostrich in the kitchen, cooking tea
Leopard in the living room, drinking beer
Ostrich hears the door and shouts
Leopard shouts too, he is watching sports
Bing bong, the doorbell goes again
Ostrich slams the pan and dries her hands
Leopard belches as she rushes past
Ostrich at the door, sees horse
Horse wants to take her for a ride
Ostrich smiles, some other time
Leopard lifts a nostril, who was that
Ostrich fans herself and flutters
Leopard snorts and pops another can
Ostrich hums and stirs the pan, looks out of the window
Leopard sees the score, yawns and changes channel
Ostrich carries in the plates
Leopard sniffs and chews
Ostrich stretches out her neck, lifts her beak, feels pastures rolling, calling
Leopard asks if there is any cheese
Ostrich in the kitchen, cooking tea
Leopard in the living room, drinking beer
Bing bong, the doorbell goes again
Leopard growls
Ostrich hurries past
Horse is at the door. She has brought some friends.
Kicking up the dust and shaking out their manes.
Ostrich looks at them, looks out along the road ahead
Give me a minute, she says
