The world sounds like
A mid-aughts jangly guitar riff

Land on my shoulders
Under a sky the blue
Of Zooey Deschanel’s eyes
Everybody thinks
“Who’s that guy?”
As I glide towards
The school gates
Not even forgetting my mask
Can stop me
Use my cap
As a shield instead
