Lashings of shrapnel
Divert crushed hollers
From pulverized pain
Extracted by last rites
Summoned in haste and
murmured in solemn horror
Of execution revolting
But just as rousing still,
For layered rock found great umbrage
With the disgrace of flagrant sacrilege
Surrendering heinous mutilation
To still stones that echoed
Reverberations of cacophonous discontent,
Revelations of natural mourning
Avenged by jagged skies
Whose sorrowful tears
Lavished jagged persecution
On rabid hands that bled dry
As foreign ice melted
Within that gored flesh
Brutalized as it had done
So willingly submissive
To the desecration
Of sacred life
Immortalized on stained stones melancholy.
