Delirium Tremens

My turkey face stapled
to skeletal framework,
waxy gooseflesh skin
and sulphurous air.

Quivering images;
a head full of Miro,
a cinematic battleground
with walls that shiver and shake
like a mast in a maelstrom.

Scalpel slice,
then pepper grind
and a curdled lexicon
from a gin-stained brain.

Poisoned plasma.

My simulated supplication
an emblem for sought salvation.
