Drunken Karaoke: JORDI

Longevity in the music industry is something many artists long for in their career. Maroon 5 has consistently been one of today’s leading artists with their discography spanning over 20 years. Their ability to incorporate different genres into their sound has helped them create some of their greatest hits of all time. This June, Adam Levine and his bandmates released their seventh studio album, Jordi.

Jordi is named after the band’s manager and Adam Levine’s childhood friend that died of a heart attack in 2017. The band dedicated their first single, Memories, to him and the song would go on to become a hit on the Billboard Chart. A remix of the single featuring YG & Nipsey Hussle can be found on the album. The group would go on to release two more singles within the last year, Nobody’s Love & the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted single, Beautiful Mistakes. Jordi features collaborations from a lot of today’s popular artists including blackbear, H.E.R., Bantu & Juice WRLD.

Filled with radio-friendly hits, the group continues to hone in on their formula of creating chart-topping songs with some of today’s artists. Make sure to add Jordi to your playlist for the car rides this summer. You can listen to the album on all music streaming services.

Maroon 5 Writings: Seasons & Can’t Leave You Alone

Seasons

I’ve been living it up

Deadening things

That had me like a puppet

Pulling my strings

Been feeling like Sonic

Collecting my rings

A new outlook on life

Let’s see what it brings

Hmm…peace and positivity

Spring we saw the growth

To prepare for the summer

We ready

And just like on a boat

We gonna rock steady

Right now we lighten the mood

Because our minds been heavy

Things changed so fasts

Quicker than the changing seasons

Now things looking up

Don’t wanna be down

Just want to party

For whatever the reason

Can’t Leave You Alone

Can’t leave you alone

While alone can’t leave me

At times I used to think

The problem used to be me

Relationships used to be so magical

Non-existent but now you see me

Had my fair share of disappearing acts

That made me want to disappear too

Had me playing their games

When I didn’t have a clue

tried to have me in my thinking chair

Thinking I’m Steve where’s my Blue

Done wasting your chances on something you blew

My outlook on life

Been refreshing and new

And before I get up out of here

I got plenty things to do
